ASUS Patches Critical Authentication Bypass Flaw in Multiple Router Models

ASUS has released software updates to address critical security vulnerabilities in its routers, including CVE-2024-3080 (CVSS score: 9.8) and CVE-2024-3079 (CVSS score: 7.2). The former allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass authentication, while the latter could enable remote code execution with administrative privileges. Affected models include various versions of ZenWiFi XT8, RT-AX88U, RT-AX58U, RT-AX57, RT-AC86U, and RT-AC68U. Users are strongly advised to update their routers to the latest firmware versions to protect against potential exploits.
