IISc develops device that improves data encryption, cyber security

The Indian Institute of Science’s (IISc) department of Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE) has developed a world-record-breaking true random number generator (TRNG) that can improve data encryption and provide improved security for sensitive digital data like credit card numbers, passwords, and other personal information.

Yahoo revealed a data breach that exposed over 3 billion user accounts to identity theft when sensitive information was released. All impacted users had to update their passwords and re-encrypt their credentials after the corporation was forced to do so. Read More…
