ARRL finally confirms ransomware gang stole data in cyberattack

The American Radio Relay League (ARRL) has confirmed that a ransomware attack in May 2024 resulted in the theft of some employees’ data, including names, addresses, and social security numbers. The attack, attributed to the Embargo ransomware gang, led ARRL to take affected systems offline, hire external forensic experts, and notify federal law enforcement. While there is no evidence of misuse of the stolen data, ARRL is providing 24 months of free identity monitoring to the 150 impacted employees as a precaution.
