Google has released patches for 47 security flaws in Android, including CVE-2024-53104, an actively exploited privilege escalation vulnerability in the USB Video Class (UVC) driver. This flaw, rooted in the Linux kernel since 2008, could enable physical privilege escalation, potentially exploited by forensic tools. Another critical vulnerability, CVE-2024-45569 in Qualcomm's WLAN component, could lead to memory corruption. Google has issued two security patch levels (2025-02-01 and 2025-02-05) to allow Android partners to address these vulnerabilities promptly.
