India’s cybersecurity agency, CERT-In, has flagged a critical vulnerability (CVE-2025-30401) in WhatsApp Desktop for Windows versions before 2.2450.6. The flaw, due to a MIME type mismatch, allows attackers to embed malware in file attachments, potentially giving them full control of the system. Users are urged to update to the latest version, avoid suspicious files, and only download updates from official sources.
