FBI, Europol, and NCA Take Down 8Base Ransomware Data Leak and Negotiation Sites


Law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Europol, and the UK's NCA, have taken down the dark web leak and negotiation sites of the 8Base ransomware gang. Four Russian nationals were arrested, and over 100 servers were disrupted as part of Operation Phobos Aetor. The group, linked to Phobos ransomware, extorted victims worldwide. The U.S. has also unsealed criminal charges against key operators, while Australia, the U.K., and the U.S. sanctioned Russian bulletproof hosting provider Zservers for facilitating ransomware attacks.
