Google rolls out Android 16 Beta 3.1 patch with crucial bug fixes


In March 2025, Google rolled out Android 16 Beta 3.1, addressing several critical issues reported in the previous beta release. The update resolves a crash in the system Settings app that occurred when the device language was set to non-English languages. It also fixes a screen brightness oscillation issue between app-specified and system/user-specified settings. Additionally, the update addresses excessive battery drain caused by high CPU load and corrects memory leaks in the system server. This minor update, with a download size under 8MB, is available over-the-air to eligible Pixel devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program.
