The Sarcoma ransomware group has claimed responsibility for an attack on Unimicron, a major Taiwanese PCB manufacturer. The group alleges they stole 377 GB of SQL files and documents and threaten to leak the data if a ransom isn’t paid.  

Unimicron confirmed a ransomware attack on its China-based subsidiary but hasn’t acknowledged a data breach. Sarcoma, an emerging ransomware threat since October 2024, is known for phishing, exploiting n-day vulnerabilities, and supply chain attacks. Cybersecurity firms are closely monitoring its tactics and potential industrial impact.
